NAV 2013 & NAV 2013 R2 - Web Services With Non Qualified SSL Certificate - Configuration.

Hi All,

This article is intended for those who want to use OR Have to Use web services with SSL.

In this Post we will discuss how to configure same with a Non Qualified Name SSL Certificate. I will come back with Second part of this article asap where we would see how to create a Qualified Name SSL Certificate.

This article is based on the request of some of my Blog Readers who were unable to use Web Services.

The Article should only be used for Testing Environment, For Production Environment please contact the Certifying authority to get the SSL Certificate.

NAV 2015 - Changes in Schema Synchronization - Part 1.

Hi all,

One more major change which was a pain in NAV 2013 R2 have been enhanced in NAV 2015. Below are the Changes in Schema Synchronization in NAV 2015.

In Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015,
Microsoft have introduced a number of improvements to the schema synchronization process that make it more explicit, more granular and controllable, providing you with the flexibility of deciding when and how your table changes should be synchronized with corresponding SQL tables.

So What is schema synchronization?

Any Change we do in Navision developer Environment related to Tables Need to be updated in SQL Server Database. That is What is called as Schema Synchronization.

Hi all,

While Reading Readiness Document for NAV 2015 i came across some new Feature For Simplified Email  in NAV 2015. Let's see what document says in the article.

To me this is something cool as most of the customer had this feature customized from there partners. If its in standard Customers will be really happy with a feature which everyone was looking for.

Discontinued Component NAV 2013 & Later - INPUT BOX (The Input Method is Obsolete).

Hi all,

During Upgrade From 2009 or Previous to NAV 2013 or Later we miss some of our best Friends.

There is a new Label (Group) is created on the Blog "Discontinued Components". This will contain how to use these discontinued components with NAV 2013 and Later using DOT NET Component.

I find this as a query from most of the blog readers.

So we start with one of my best friend which is missing in NAV 2013 and later i.e "INPUT BOX".

How SQL Database / Table & Field Name Changed When we Use Some Special Character in NAV?

Hi All,

One of my NAV Friend while working on SSRS Reports asked a Question. Below is the Query is his words?

"Hey Saurav - When i trying to access table Sales Prepayment % or Field Prepayment % or using a database Named as Demo Database NAV (7-0) i get a different name is SQL instead of Navision. Why there is a change? Which all character get changed? Where i can find this change Character List?" 

So those who Know this, i guess what is below is nothing new for you, but those who still are curious about it should Read Ahead...
