Dynamics NAV 2015 Image Library - Released.

Hi all,

While Browsing i found that Image Library is now available for NAV 2015.

An application to browse, search, copy and save all Dynamics NAV images.

What's New in This Release:
- All images from NAV 2009 and up in one application
- Including NAV 2015 images

Where it can be used ?

-- When Developing new Pages we are looking for action images.
-- During upgrade we are always confused for the action & role center images.

Data Migration Steps From NAV 2013 to NAV 2013 R2.

Hi All,

This was asked to me from so many readers about the steps that we need to take for data migration from NAV 2013 to NAV 2013 R2.

Yes those steps are listed in MSDN but at the same time they are so much confusing as they have merged the steps of both Data Migration as listed below-

1. NAV 2009 / SP1 / R2 TO NAV 2013 R2.
2. NAV 2013 TO NAV 2013 R2.

So for those who are looking for steps that need to be executed to upgrade data from NAV 2013 to NAV 2013 R2, do read the post.

Application Merge Utilities - Introduction.

As Promised long back In this post we will discuss about a New Feature Released by Microsoft with Rollup 9 of NAV 2013 R2.

Microsoft have released a set of Cmdlet for Merging Application Object Source Files.

This Feature can be used with and after NAV 2013 R2 with Update Rollup 9 Installed.

Here is what Microsoft Says about it -
"Microsoft Dynamics NAV includes Windows PowerShell cmdlets that help you apply changes to Microsoft Dynamics NAV solutions. You can use Microsoft Dynamics NAV cmdlets to modify application object source files in the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2 Development Shell, or by importing the Microsoft.Dynamics.NAV.Model.Tools.psd1 module into the Windows PowerShell Integration Script Environment (ISE). Mainstream Support for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 Ends January 13, 2015.

With this Statement Microsoft Says Good Bye to CLASSIC CLIENT.
