DynamicsNAV and Business Central - When My Version will be out of Support?

Hi Readers,

I was searching for product Lifecycle for Microsoft Dynamics Navision and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.

I thought it will be great to share the update with everyone.

If you remember the product lifecycle of Dynamics NAV Product was approx 5 years which is changing for Business Central.

Let's go through all active Dynamics NAV and Business Central Product Lifecycle.



As of Today 10/16/2019, the last version is still in Mainstream Support in Dynamics NAV 2015.

Here are Dates -

1. Dynamics NAV 2015 - 
  • Lifecycle Start Date - 12/17/2014
  • Mainstream Support End Date - 1/14/2020
  • Extended Support End Date - 1/14/2025

2. Dynamics NAV 2016 - 
  • Lifecycle Start Date - 1/3/2016
  • Mainstream Support End Date - 4/13/2021
  • Extended Support End Date - 4/14/2026

3. Dynamics NAV 2017 - 
  • Lifecycle Start Date - 10/27/2016
  • Mainstream Support End Date - 1/11/2022
  • Extended Support End Date - 1/11/2027
4. Dynamics NAV 2018 - 
  • Lifecycle Start Date - 12/1/2017
  • Mainstream Support End Date - 1/10/2023
  • Extended Support End Date - 1/11/2028
5. Dynamics 365 Business Central on-premises October 2018 (13.X)
  • Lifecycle Start Date - 11/1/2018
  • Mainstream Support End Date - 4/14/2020
6. Dynamics 365 Business Central on-premises April 2019 (14.X)
  • Lifecycle Start Date - 04/1/2019
  • Mainstream Support End Date - 10/10/2023
7. Dynamics 365 Business Central on-premises October 2019 (15.X)
  • Lifecycle Start Date - 11/1/2019
  • Mainstream Support End Date - 4/01/2021
Starting Business Central Wave 2 (15.x), a new Software lifecycle policy has been updated. Every Version will be Supported only for 18 Months.
